Sofia joined ������ý�ٷ���վ in 2021, she is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a Chartered Psychologist. Sofia completed her PhD at Lisbon University Institute (ISCTE) in Psychology applied to Human-Robot interaction, where she explored human dishonesty in the presence of a robot- exploring whether robots could promote more honest behaviours in people.

She now teaches modules in Cyberpsychology, Social Psychology and Psychology of Emotions in the UG Programme. She also supervises undergraduate and postgraduate (MSc and PhD) students.
Her main research interests are in exploring people’s interactions with technology, how it changes our behaviours, how it affects us, and how it can also provide support. See below some of the research interest topics:
