The Library aims to provide a personalised, high-quality service to support the University’s teaching and research programmes and to encourage the development of creative and independent thinking.

Digital resources

Most students will have access to a free digital copy of their textbook accessed via their modules. Ebooks are available via the Library catalogue. Students have access to online journals and databases to support their studies such as EBSCO Business and Academic Source, JSTOR, Psychinfo and industry standard Law databases such as LEXIS and WESTLAW. Full training is given as part of the students inductions.

Franciscan Library

The Franciscan Library at our Verney Park campus holds all the core textbooks and reference books for Medicine, Law, Psychology, Mathematics and Computing.  We support the Faculty of Computing, Law and Psychology.

Hunter Street Library

The Hunter Street Library is located at our Hunter Street campus supporting the Faculty of Business, Humanities & Social Sciences.  If you are looking for books on Business and Accounting, Politics and Economics, History, History of Art and English Literature then Hunter Street will hold all your core texts and required reading.

Edward Legg local history collection

Edward Legg bequeathed his collection of local history material to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ on his death. The collection is currently based at the Franciscan Library.

There are over 800 local history books covering topics from steam trains to Bletchley Park. Journals and pre-1900 local history materials are available for reference use only at the Franciscan Library.
