I decided to study my LLB at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ as many prominent figures in Mauritius have done so. Additionally, I would be done with my undergraduate degree in two years. After completing my studies in Accounting and Finance in Canada, the accelerated degree was enticing. Looking back, I can confidently say that studying law at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ provided me with rewarding experience, offering a unique blend of academic rigor, personalized learning, and a close-knit community.

The Law program at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ is intensive and fast-paced, which is something I really appreciated. With the University operating on a two-year degree structure, the pace of study was demanding, but it helped me stay focused and motivated. The small class sizes were one of the best aspects of my education. I had direct access to lecturers who were always willing to engage in discussions and provide guidance. The lecturers are incredibly approachable, and they genuinely care about your success. What made the program stand out was its emphasis on practical skills and real-world applications. We weren’t just learning theory; we were encouraged to apply our knowledge through case studies, debates, and even mock trials.

One of the highlights of my time at the University was participating in mooting competitions. The University has an excellent mooting culture. I was part of the Nuremberg Mooting competition and Telders International Law Moot Competition. The latter provided me with the incredible opportunity to visit the Peace Palace! The competitions helped me refine my public speaking, legal research, and advocacy skills through a range of internal and external events. These experiences played a key role in building the confidence I needed.

The at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ played a pivotal role in enhancing my university experience. They organized incredible parties, debates, and social events that really brought the student body together. From themed parties to networking evenings, there was always something happening that allowed us to unwind, have fun, and connect with others. The debates and discussions they facilitated through various societies and events were also a highlight, offering a platform for students to express their opinions, challenge ideas, and engage in intellectual conversations outside of the classroom. They were always open to feedback and ensured that students’ concerns and suggestions were heard. Their dedication to making positive changes, whether it was improving campus facilities or organizing additional support for students, helped create a more inclusive and responsive university environment.

My time at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ was an incredibly fulfilling and formative experience. Looking back, I’m grateful for the opportunities I had at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ and the lasting friendships and connections I made along the way.
